Idaho Pharmacist License

Pharmacist in Idaho

A license is necessary to practice pharmacy in Idaho.

Requirements include:

  • Must pass the NAPLEX
  • Must pass the MPJE
  • 1500 internship hours
  • Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • No criminal record
  • Good moral character

Application also requires:

  • $100 application fee, $60 controlled substance registration
  • Letter of recommendation from a currently licensed pharmacist
  • A 3″x3″ size photo

Foreign graduates and non-US citizen have additional requirements:

  • Must pass FPGEE
  • Must pass TOEFL

Idaho also allows licensure by reciprocity.

To maintain a pharmacist license in Idaho, pharmacists need 15 CE (continuing education) credits every year.  One credit needs to be about pharmacy law.  Three credits must be live.
