Pharmacist in Hawaii
A license is necessary to practice pharmacy in Hawaii.
Requirements include:
- Must pass the NAPLEX
- Must pass the MPJE
- 1500 internship hours
- Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- No criminal record
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Application also requires:
- $50 application fee, $147 license fee for even numbered years, $60 license fee for odd numbered years
Foreign graduates and non-US citizen have additional requirements:
- Must pass FPGEE
- Must pass TOEFL
Hawaii also allows licensure by reciprocity, except from California.
To maintain a pharmacist license in Hawaii, pharmacists need 30 CE (continuing education) credits every 2 years.
